ENSEMBLES
Chamber Music & Ensemble Playing
Chamber Music is a cornerstone of the Atlanta Horn Festival experience. Participants are assigned to small and large ensembles that rehearse daily to prepare the annual Closing Participant Recital with an afternoon outdoor preview performance at the Morningside Farmer’s Market.
-
Students are assigned to a chamber ensemble, typically a quartet, that is coached daily by a Resident Faculty member.
-
Students are placed in the High School Horn Choir or Young Artist Horn Choir and rehearse daily with members of the Resident Faculty.
-
Students from both the High School Horn Choir and Young Artist Horn Choir come together for a side-by-side experience in the AHF Mass Horn Choir. The ensemble rehearses daily with a Resident Faculty member.
WARMUP CLASS
Warmup Class meets every morning and is led by both the Resident and Guest Artist Faculty. Activities include various stretching, breathing, and playing exercises to prepare for the day. All faculty, participants, and auditors are welcome to play.
